What you can do in the editor
- Change existing text — lines and whole paragraphs, even in table cells.
- Add new text with your choice of font, size, color and alignment.
- Images — add new ones or move, resize and delete existing ones.
- Highlight, draw, white-out for comments or to hide details.
- Sign — draw, type or upload a photo of your signature.
Why “free” really means free here
Many “free” PDF editors ask for a sign-up or subscription at the download step. Here there’s no account requirement and no premium features behind a paywall. Because editing happens in your browser, your files don’t cause any server costs either.
Good to know
When you change existing text, the original font is replaced by a similar standard font — barely noticeable with common fonts. Scanned PDFs consist of images: run OCR first, or cover areas and write over them.
Tips
- Multi-line paragraphs are edited as a whole and re-wrap automatically as you type.
- Undo any step with ⌘Z / Ctrl+Z and download with ⌘S.
- Scanned pages contain no text — run them through OCR first.
