Typical uses

  • Add a QR code to invoices that customers scan with their banking app — no typing the IBAN.
  • Get paid faster and avoid misdirected transfers caused by typos.
  • Collect donations, memberships or club fees via QR code.

Tips

  • Use the invoice number as payment reference so the payment is easy to match.
  • Print the code at least about 2 × 2 cm so it is reliably recognised.
  • An EPC QR code is a payment aid, not an e-invoice; create the structured invoice in the e-invoice generator.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a GiroCode?

A GiroCode is an EPC QR code according to the European Payments Council standard. Banking apps read IBAN, recipient, amount and reference from it for a SEPA credit transfer.

Which banking apps can read it?

Many banking apps in Germany, Austria and other SEPA countries support EPC QR codes — usually via the “scan” or “photo transfer” function.

Is there an amount limit?

The EPC standard allows amounts from €0.01 to €999,999,999.99. You can also leave the amount empty.

Is my data stored?

No. The QR code is generated in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.
