Frequently Asked Questions

Is a PDF invoice already an e-invoice?

No. A plain PDF is unstructured. This tool reads the data from your PDF and creates a structured XRechnung or ZUGFeRD file from it, which is a real e-invoice.

How reliable is the automatic recognition?

Text-based PDFs from invoicing software are usually recognised well. Always check amounts, tax rates and dates before downloading — you can correct every field.

Can I convert scanned invoices?

Scans contain no text layer, so fewer fields are recognised. Enter missing details manually or run the scan through OCR first.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The PDF is read and converted entirely in your browser.
