Change text in a PDF
Click the spot you want to change in the editor above and overwrite the text directly. Font, size, color and alignment are applied automatically, and right-aligned numbers stay right-aligned. When you save, the old text is deleted from the file — it can’t be copied out afterwards.

The cursor appears exactly where you clicked.
- 3

Type as in a word processor; paragraphs re-wrap automatically.

Typical changes
- Fix a typo in a quote you already sent.
- Update a date, number or amount.
- Change an address or contact person in a template.
- Rephrase a paragraph.
Is the old text really removed?
Yes. Many simple online editors just place a white box over the old text — search or copy reveals it again. Here the replaced text is deleted from the page content when you save. That matters especially for amounts and personal data.
Limits
- The original font is replaced by a similar standard font (sans-serif, serif or monospace).
- Single colored or bold words inside an edited line take on the line’s style.
- Scanned PDFs contain no clickable text — use OCR first.
Tips
- Multi-line paragraphs are edited as a whole and re-wrap automatically as you type.
- Undo any step with ⌘Z / Ctrl+Z and download with ⌘S.
- Scanned pages contain no text — run them through OCR first.
