Which resolution?

  • 72–96 DPI: screen and messenger.
  • 150 DPI: presentations and websites.
  • 300 DPI: printing.

Common uses

  • Post a single slide or chart on social media or in a chat.
  • Insert a page into a presentation, blog post or document as a picture.
  • Send a preview of a document without sharing the whole PDF.
  • Create thumbnails for a website or a product catalog.

Every page is rendered at the resolution you choose; text stays sharp at 150 DPI or more. The whole process runs locally, so confidential documents never leave your device.

Tips

  • 300 DPI creates large files — 150 DPI is enough for email and web.
  • PNG suits graphics and text, JPG suits photos.
  • Only need the text? Extract text is faster.
