How it works

  1. 1

Transfer HEIC files from the iPhone to your PC (cable, iCloud, email).

  2. 2

    Upload

    Select several files at once.

  3. 3

    Choose quality

JPG quality around 90 % is a good default.

  4. 4

    Download

Individually or all together as a ZIP.

Why Windows struggles with HEIC

iPhones save photos in HEIC by default because it takes up about half the space of JPG. Windows often needs extra codecs from the Microsoft Store to display them — and many programs and upload forms don’t support HEIC at all.

Avoid HEIC in the future

On the iPhone, go to Settings → Camera → Formats and choose “Most Compatible” — new photos are saved as JPG. Alternatively, under Settings → Photos → “Transfer to Mac or PC”, choose “Automatic” so iOS converts on transfer.

Tips

  • On the iPhone, Settings → Camera → Formats → “Most Compatible” saves JPG directly.
  • Afterwards you can combine the photos into a PDF.
  • Photos are not uploaded — private pictures stay on your device.
